In this semester long class, students use traditional art materials, recycled objects, and sculpted creations to produce works of art that pop off the page or are sculpted in-the-round. Students will be encouraged to turn “unusual” objects into art making tools as they create found object assemblages. Children will plan and sketch their 3-D paper sculptures and animal origami in student-made sketchbooks. “Burgeoning Builders” supports students as they turn their 2-D ideas into 3-D objects! Projects include dream house architecture, model making, and wearable art.
