Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest dance forms of India.  A popular and widely performed dance style, it is practiced by male and female dancers all over India. Due to its wide range of movements and postures and the balanced mélange of the rhythmic and mimetic aspects, it lends itself well to experimental and fusion choreography. In this introductory Bharatanatyam class, different body movements, rhythmic patterns, leg movements, hand gestures and facial expression will be taught. A brief introduction of Bharatanatyam theory will also be provided. Please call the CSA office to register at
