Art Smart! is an eight-week program scheduled for June 5 – July 26, 2017.

The summer program offers introductions to a variety of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, graphic design and cartooning. It is set up in such a way that students may attend all the summer classes, or attend only some, without falling behind.

The class culminates with a closing reception at the 14th and Chestnut Center on July 26. The reception is free of charge and open to the community. The art exhibition will attract students and their family and friends from the Ryves neighborhood and other areas; ISU faculty and students; and the community at large. The exhibition will truly function as a community event in which people from all walks of life can feel pride in the accomplishments of promising young local artists.

The program is led by Korri Martin, an Indiana State graduate with a Bachelor of Art Education, and Taylor Dickison, a current ISU Art Education major.
