My First Piano Camp
No previous music experience required.

This camp is designed for children who are considering starting piano lessons. No experience is required! Throughout the week, students will use songs, games, and hands-on activities to learn musical basics that prepare them for lessons. Students will also learn the basics of music notation and the keyboard in a fun, activity-based format. This class is for students who are ready to learn about music in a friendly, group environment! The week culminates with a demonstration for friends and family.  

Bucket Drumming
No previous music experience required.

Ages: 8 and up
Dates & Time: June 19 – 23 (Monday through Friday)

This class will introduce students to patterns and songs using buckets and drum sticks to play. In a group environment, students will learn the basic sounds that bucket drumming has to offer and apply them to music, rhythm games, and other music-making activities. 

Intermediate Piano Camp
Students must have at least one year of piano experience.

Ages: 8-12

This camp is designed for children who have some prior experience in piano and wish to expand their studies on the keyboard. Throughout the week, students will learn chord progressions, major and minor scales, intermediate level music theory, and some pop songs to practice and perform. The week culminates with a demonstration for friends and family. 

Sing and Dance!
No previous music experience required.

Ages: 5-8  
Dates & Time: June 26 – 30 (Monday through Friday)

This is an interactive class focusing on the basics of rhythm, pitch, and musical creativity. Instructors will demonstrate various percussion instruments, such as hand drums, in addition to pitched instruments, such as guitars. The objective of the class is to introduce both rhythmic and pitched instruments to students and play together as a group to make music and understand the relationships between each part. 

The Terre Haute Guitar Club for Intermediate Students

Students must have at least 1 full academic year of Guitar Club classes or private music lessons and a basic understanding of reading music.

The Terre Haute Guitar Club for Intermediate Students offers children an opportunity to learn to play the guitar and create music while working with a group of peers. Students work on increasing guitar skills, musical concepts and theory through engaging games and activities. Guitars are supplied to students in-class.
