Our History

For over twenty years, the Sycamore Drum Major Clinic at Indiana State University has provided aspiring drum majors the opportunity to hone their skills and prepare themselves to be leaders in band and in life. Join us this summer and learn what it means to become outstanding.

Our Instructors

The Sycamore Drum Major Clinic is staffed by dozens of exceptionally qualified music educators and former drum majors. Each of these individuals uses their unique blend of skills and strengths to help develop students’ abilities to lead their fellow band members both musically and logistically. Meet some of our wonderful staff below.

Housing

Students experience suite style housing. Residences offer premium rooms which are air-conditioned, double-occupancy, with private bath. Each room has a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet area for each resident. In addition to a Resident Advisor (RA) on each floor, there is 24-hour emergency maintenance and desk operation in each hall. Each hall has a centralized fire alarm and smoke detectors in each student room. All halls are ADA accessible and smoke free. There is one emergency telephone located on each floor.

Meals

Students enjoy many food options, including buffet style meals. Residents receive $125.00 meal cards that will cover an all-you-can-eat buffet or choice of meals from restaurants in ISU's food court. The buffet is held in Generations Restaurant, in the Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU) on the ISU campus, near the food court. Students may bring cash to use in ISU's convenience store, also located in HMSU. Commuters may purchase a meal card or bring cash. Meal cards are not including in commuter fees.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!
