International Band Camp


Indiana State University International Band Camp

Join us for a 6-day and 5-night resident program that focuses on wind band literature and performance through master classes, private lessons and concerts. Led by artistic directors Roby George, Brian Kilp and Nikk Pilato and Indiana State School of Music faculty. Band Camp runs in conjunction with International Piano, Voice and Violin Festival.

July 22-27 (Saturday through Thursday) 

Students must have completed grade 9 to reside on-campus. Grade 8 students, entering grade 9, may register as commuters.

Fee for U.S. resident students: $550
Fee for resident guardians: $425

Fee for U.S. commuter students: *$325
*Meal cards not included in commuter fees but may be purchased through office. It is recommended that commuters purchase meal cards so that they may dine with resident students. Commuters may, however, bring a brown-bag lunch and snacks if desired. 

Fee for international students: $1,500 
Fee for international guardians: $525

Early-bird discount:
 Enroll by April 15 and receive a 10% discount (residents/$495, commuters/$292.50).

Refunds will not be issued later than 2 weeks before the first day of classes or resident camps.

Housing

Students experience suite style housing. Students reside in
 Jones Hall
, with female and males staying on different floors. Jones Hall offers premium rooms which are air-conditioned, double-occupancy, with private bath. Each room has a bed, desk, desk chair, dresser and closet area for each resident. In addition to a Resident Advisor (RA) on each floor, there is 24-hour emergency maintenance and desk operation in each hall. Each hall has a centralized fire alarm and smoke detectors in each student room. All halls are ADA accessible and smoke free. There is one emergency telephone located on each floor. Single occupancy rooms are available - please call the office for details. Band Camp fees are based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available; please call the office for rates.

Food


Students enjoy many food options, including buffet style meals. Residents receive $125.00 meal cards that will cover an all-you-can-eat buffet. The food choices are plentiful and quite excellent and will satisfy all dietary requirements. The buffet is held in Generations Restaurant, in the Hulman Memorial Student Union (HMSU) and Sycamore Dining in Rhodes Hall, both on the ISU campus. Students may bring cash to use in ISU's convenience store or fast-food court, located in the Hulman Memorial Student Union, just beside Jones Hall, where students reside. This is optional, the meal cards provided to students will cover all meals during the camp. 

Commuter fee of $325 does not include meals. Commuters may purchase a meal card or bring cash.
